Lady Cats White Team Placed Second in the Spring 2006 Governor’s Cup Invitational Soccer Tournament at Topeka
The Flint Hills Soccer Club 13-and-under Lady Cats White went 2-1-1 and placed second in the U-13 B division of the Spring 2006 Governor’s Cup Invitational Soccer Tournament in Topeka last weekend.
The Lady Cats White won their first game against the Wichita Flash 1-0. Kelly Thomson scored the lone goal for the Lady Cats with an assist from Susie Jimenez. The shutout was credited to goal keeper Erin Hickman.
In game two, the Lady Cats White tied the Blue Valley Stars Revolution 1-1. Thomson again scored the lone goal for the Lady Cats with an assist from Jimenez.
In game three, the Lady Cats White defeated the Kansas City KCKSA Alliance 3-0. Faith Herrera and Amy Stockton each scored one goal from a penalty kick. Annissa Durar added one goal for the Lady Cats with an assist from Raychel Gadson. The shutout was credited to goal keepers Hickman and Jackie Gonzalez.
In the championship game, the Lady Cats White lost to the Blue Valley Storm 3-1. Thomson again scored the lone goal for the Lady Cats with an assist from Jimenez.

The Lady Cats Purple lost their first game against the Kansas City FC Rangers 3-0. The Lady Cats Purple lost their second game against the Wichita River City Avalanche 3-0.
In game three, the Lady Cats Purple tied the Rush Blue Girls 2-2. Lindsy Ekart and Jimenez each scored one goal with assists from Arianna Levin and Emily Lowman.
In a Wildcat League game following the Governor’s Cup Tournament, the Lady Cats Purple defeated the LASC Freedom 5-2. Jimenez scored a hat trick in the game. Chinazo Ehie and Thomson each added one goal for the Lady Cats. The assists were credited to Kylie Rupe, Erin Eckels, and Katy Van Nevel.
