FHSC Lady Cats U-14 places second in the U-14 division at the Little Apple Kickoff Classic Tournament in Manhattan.

The Flint Hills Soccer Club 14-and-under Lady Cats soccer team went (2-1-2) and placed second in the U-14 Division of the Little Apple Kickoff Classic Tournament in Manhattan this past weekend.

The FHSC Lady Cats U-14 team tied their first game against the Kansas City Fusion 2-2. Faith Herrera scored the first goal for the Lady Cats unassisted from a free kick. Erika Goodwin scored the second goal for the Lady Cats with an assist from Sarah Tatarko.

In game two, the FHSC Lady Cats U-14 tied the Wichita NSA FC 1-1. Annissa Durar scored the lone goal for the Lady Cats with an assist from Goodwin.

In game three, the FHSC Lady Cats U-14 defeated the FHSC Yellowjackets 4-0. Herrera, Jessica Meadows, Tarian Reeves, and Katroya Jones each scored one goal for the Lady Cats. The assists were credited to Onyeka Ehie, Goodwin, Durar, and Shirin Chowdhury. The shutout was credited to goal keeper Chloe Weston.

In the semi-final game, the FHSC Lady Cats U-14 defeated the Wichita Lady Titans Impact 3-0 in a penalty shoot-out after the regulation time and over time ended in a 0-0 tie. Herrera, Goodwin, and Amy Stockton scored their penalty kicks. Goal keeper Weston saved two penalty kicks during the shootout.

In the championship game, the FHSC Lady Cats U-14 lost to the Kansas City Fusion 3-0.
