The Flint Hills Soccer Club 14-and-under Lady Cats soccer team went (4-1) and placed second in the U-14 Gold (A) Division of the Kansas Cup All-Girls Soccer Tournament in Lawrence this past weekend.

The FHSC Lady Cats U-14 team won their first game against the Kansas City Futbol Club Mystic Force 2-1. Tarian Reeves and Annissa Durar each scored one goal for the Lady Cats. The assists were credited to Onyeka Ehie and Jessica Meadows.

In game two, the FHSC Lady Cats U-14 defeated the Kansas City Quest Cavalier 2-1. Erika Goodwin and Reeves each scored one goal for the Lady Cats. The assists were credited to Willie Stockton and Shirin Chowdhury.

In game three, the FHSC Lady Cats U-14 defeated the Kansas City Strikers Raiders 1-0. Ehie scored the lone goal with an assist from Durar. The shutout was credited to goal keeper Chloe Weston and the defense line of Raquel Borck, Amy Stockton, Paige Zafran, Willie Stockton, Tegyn Perkin, and Laura Hughes.

In the semi-final game, the FHSC Lady Cats U-14 defeated the Topeka Legends Strikers 3-2 in a penalty shoot-out after the regulation time and over time ended in a 0-0 tie. Amy Stockton, Faith Herrera, and Meadows scored their penalty kicks. Goal keeper Weston saved two penalty kicks during the shootout.

In the championship game, the FHSC Lady Cats U-14 tied Kansas City Strikers Raiders 1-1 at the end of regulation time. Durar scored the lone goal with an assist from Shelby Hill. However, the Lady Cats lost the game in the penalty shoot-out.

The FHSC Lady Cats U-14 team overall record for the Fall-2007 season is (10-2-3)
