In the first game on Saturday, FHSC Lady Cats U-16 blanked the Tulsa Thunder 2-0. Bailey Zimmerman and Shirley Stockton each scored one goal for the Lady Cats with assists from Amy Stockton and Annissa Durar. The shutout was credited to goal keepers Jackie Gonzalez and. Kaytlyn Anderson.
In game two on Saturday, the FHSC Lady Cats U-16 defeated the Wichita Evolution Futbol Club Explosion 5-1. Zimmerman and Shirley Stockton each scored two goals, and Lindsy Ekart added one goal for the Lady Cats with assists from Durar, Claire Lowman, Sarah Tatarko, Shirley Stockton, and Katy Van Nevel.
In game three on Sunday, the FHSC Lady Cats U-16 lost to the Wichita Spirit 2-3. Kelsey Estep and Ekart each scored one goal for the Lady Cats with assists from Shirley Stockton and Zimmerman.
In the Championship game, the FHSC Lady Cats U-16 defeated the Wichita Spirit 5-3. The regulation time ended up with a 2-2 tie. Herrera scored the first goal for the Lady Cats from a free kick. Ekart added one goal for the Lady Cats with an assist from Herrera. During the penalty kick shoot-out, Erin Eckels, Emily Lowman, and Estep scored their penalty kicks. Goal keeper Gonzalez saved a penalty kick during the shootout.
The Flint Hills Soccer Club 13-and-under Lady Cats soccer team also competed in the Hutchinson tournament. The FHSC Lady Cats U-13 went (2-2) and placed second in the U-13 Girls Division.
In their first game, the FHSC Lady Cats U-13 lost to the Wichita Cholita Strikers 1-3. Jessica Meadows scored the lone goal for the U-13 Lady Cats with an assist from Tarian Reeves.
The FHSC Lady Cats U-13 won their second game against the Wichita Fire by forfeit.
In the semi-final game, the FHSC Lady Cats U-13 blanked the Salina NRG 2-0. Erika Goodwin and Shelby Hill each scored one goal for the U-13 Lady Cats with assists from Meadows and Goodwin. Goal keeper Kristen Thompson was credited with the shutout.
In the Championship game, the FHSC Lady Cats U-13 lost to the Wichita Cholita Strikers 1-0.
