The Flint Hills Soccer Club 11-and-under Lady Cats,
went 2-2-1
and placed third over the weekend in the Little Apple 6th Annual
kickoff Classic Soccer Tournament.
In
the first game on Friday, the Lady Cats
tied the Topeka
Prodigy Wildfire 1-1. Taylor
Klover scored the lone goal for the Manhattan team with an
assist from Chinazo Ehie.
In
the second game on Saturday, the Lady Cats
lost to the Olathe
SWU Lady Comets 1-3. Annissa
Durar scored the lone goal for
the Manhattan team with an assist from Chinazo Ehie.
In
the third game on Saturday, the Lady Cats
defeated the Little
Apple Soccer Club Freedom 4-1.
Klover scored
a hat trick and Lindsy Ekart added one goal for the
Lady Cats. Durar
was credited with two assists.
Sierra Meyer and Chinazo
Ehie each added one assist.
In
the fourth game on Saturday, the Lady Cats
blanked the Topeka
Select Sky 5-0.
Klover
scored her second hat trick in the tournament and Meyer
and Kylie Rupe each added
one goal for the Lady Cats. Chinazo
Ehie, Sara Allen, Ekart, Claire Lowman picked
up assists.
Chloe Schmidt and Chinazo
Ehie earned the shutout in goal.
In
the semi-final game on Sunday, the Lady Cats
lost to the Olathe
SWU Lady Comets 0-1.
