The Flint Hills Soccer Club 11-and-under Lady Cats, went 1-1-1 over the weekend in Wildcat and Power Leagues over the weekend in Manhattan and Topeka.
In the first game on Saturday in Manhattan, the Lady Cats won their season opener in the Wildcat league by defeating the Little Apple Soccer Club Freedom 2-0. Taylor Klover and Lindsy Ekart each scored one goal for the Lady Cats with two assists from Annissa Durar. Rachel Lease and Bethany Anderson earned the shutout in goal with assists from the defense line of Sierra Meyer, Kylie Rupe, Claire Lowman, Emily Lowman, Claire Tolentino, Erin Eckels, and Victoria Thomas.
On
Sunday, the Lady Cats
played two games in the Power League in Topeka.
In the first game, the Lady Cats lost to the U-12
Topeka Kansas United Ballistics 0-1.
In the second game, the Lady Cats tied the U-12
Topeka Hurricanes 1-1. Klover
scored the lone goal for the Manhattan team with an assist from
Durar.
