Lady Cats Purple and Lady Cats Silver Compete In The 3v3 Soccer Tournament of The Sunflower State Games
Two Flint Hills Soccer Club 12-and-under Lady Cats teams competed in the 3v3 Soccer Tournament of the Sunflower
State Game in Topeka over the weekend.
The Lady Cats Purple team went 3-1 and won the championship of the U-12 Girls Division. In the first game the
Lady Cats defeated the Topeka Select Rockets 8-0. In game two, the Lady Cats Purple defeated the Topeka Prodigy
Wildfire 6-2. In game three, the Lady Cats Purple lost to the Wichita Pinheads 4-2. In the championship Game,
the Lady Cats Purple defeated Topeka Select Rockets Blues 4-3. During the tournament, Susie Jimenez scored six
goals, Katy Van Nevel scored five goals, and Annissa Durar scored three goals. Kelsey Estep, Sarah Tatarko, and
Hollie Wickham each added two goals for the Lady Cats.
The Lady Cats Silver team went 1-2 and placed third in the U-12 Girls Division. In the first game the Lady
Cats defeated the Lawrence KVSC 2-0. In game two, the Lady Cats Silver lost to the Topeka Select Rockets
Blues 4-1. In game three, the Lady Cats Silver lost to the Topeka Select Dragons 8-1. During the tournament,
Lindsy Ekart scored all four goals for the Lady Cats with assists from Erin Eckels, Jordan Edmunds, Claire Lowman,
Emily Lowman, and Claire Tolentino.
