The Flint Hills Soccer Club 12-and-under Lady Cats Purple and White teams competed in the Club Azzurri Fall Classic Soccer Tournament in Hutchinson over the weekend.

The Lady Cats Purple team went 1-1-1- in the U-13 division of the tournament. On Saturday, the Lady Cats Purple lost to the Wichita Air Capital Freedom 3-2. Onyeka Ehie scored the first goal for the Cats with an assist from Arianna Levin. Kelsey Estep scored the second goal unassisted from a free kick. In the second game on Saturday, the Lady Cats Purple tied the Wichita Storm 0-0.

On Sunday, the Lady Cats Purple blanked the Hays Storm 4-0. Annissa Durar scored twice for the Lady Cats. Levin and Susie Jimenez each added a goal to the Lady Cats. The assists were credited to Emily Lowman, Sarah Tatarko, Lindsy Ekart, and Lacey Smith. The second shutout in the tournament was credited to goal keepers Chinazo Ehie and Sandra Okot-Kotber and the defense line of Erin Eckels, Claire Lowman, Tatarko, Bethany Anderson, and Claire Tolentino.

The Lady Cats Purple team is now 7-2-2 for the season and will compete in the Governor’s Cup tournament next weekend.

The Lady Cats White team went 1-3 in the U-12 division of the tournament. On Saturday, the Lady Cats White lost to the Wichita River City Crush 3-0. In their second game, the Lady Cats White defeated Derby Lady Titans 3-1. Bree Busch, Raychel Gadson, and Katie Brantl each scored one goal for the Lady Cats. The assists were credited to Katy Van Nevel, Busch, and Amy Stockton.

On Sunday, the Lady Cats White lost its last two games to the McPherson Strikers 6-0 and to the LASC Freedom 3-0. During the last game, goal keeper Erin Hickman made 16 saves.
